Vesta: A Cyclonic Vacuum Cleaner with Functionality and Ease

Vesta, designed by Yasemin Ulukan of Senur Design Center, is a cyclonic vacuum cleaner that offers both functionality and ease for the mid-end user. Its patented cyclonic system ensures AAA performance, while the HEPA 13 filters trap 99.9 percent of germs, bacteria, and house mites, minimizing allergy problems. The patented 3-in-1 bucket lock mechanism guarantees safe carrying and allows for one-hand operation.

One of the standout features of Vesta is its strong lines with small radii, giving it a secure and tough look. The rear wheels have a car rim look, and the exhaust filter at the back gives a sporty feeling, thanks to the hot foil application. This design not only performs well but also adds a touch of style to the cleaning routine.

Vesta is a member of the Pika vacuum cleaner series and shares many common parts. All parts of the vacuum cleaner are designed to be assembled quickly with a minimum error rate, resulting in a more cost-effective production process. Additionally, all the plastics used in Vesta are recyclable, making it an environmentally friendly choice.

With its compact dimensions of 35cm x 35cm x 57cm, Vesta is designed to fit seamlessly into any home. Its patented cyclonic filter efficiently keeps the dust in the tank, while the indicator light starts to flash red when the tank or the motor protection filter is full. The patented 3-in-1 bucket lock allows the user to lock and unlock the tank with one hand, ensuring safe carrying. The user can reach and clean anywhere in the bucket-shaped tank, making the cleaning process hassle-free.

Vesta was designed in November 2017 and was launched in the Turkish and European markets in the third quarter of 2019. The design went through extensive research and development, with over a hundred prototypes being built. The patented cyclonic max system in Vesta shows at least a 10% better mono cyclone dust separation performance compared to competitors, according to laboratory tests.

One of the main challenges in designing Vesta was creating a unique look while using 90% of the existing parts from the Pika vacuum cleaner series. With only 11 outer parts designed specifically for Vesta, the team at Senur Design Center was able to create a completely different design language and concept, while maintaining the same infrastructure as other Pika Vacuums.

Vesta has been recognized for its outstanding design and creativity, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Home Appliances Design category in 2020. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that exhibit strong technical and creative skills, contributing to quality of life improvements.
